Jennifer L. Kuhn, Team Leader & Founder of the JLK Sales Group Brokered by eXp Realty is an active member of FORCE. She has been a member for five years and currently holds a position on the FORCE Advisory Committee.
Jennifer’s commitment to the real estate industry extends beyond her professional work. As a member of the FORCE Webinar Committee, she dedicated her time and expertise helping organize and promote educational webinars on a range of topics related to the REO industry.
When asked what drives her commitment to her craft and industry, Jennifer replied: I absolutely love what I do – I love to overcome the challenges I face in REO. I love to offer my clients outside of the box ideas to overcome challenges that we face on a day to day basis.
1. What are some insights or at least one piece of advice you wish you would have known when you first started in the industry?
Bookkeeping for sure! Make sure you have a system set in place to keep track of reimbursable expenses and make sure you have liability insurance on yourself and your LLC.
2. What is top of mind for you in your business right now?
Video of trash outs on tik top or just the day to day life of an REO agent – we try to capture live events of maybe walking into a new asset for the first time and posting it.
3. How has being a member of a trade association resulted in business growth for you?
I have never had another job but I can say being a certified distressed property expert and working for an institutional investor to purchase properties at sheriff sale has made a tremendous impact on my career – it has provided me with boots on the ground knowledge that you wouldn’t get anywhere else.
4. What legacy industry impact would you most desire to be known for?
In New Jersey I am currently known as a leader in the REO industries – agents are constantly calling me with any questions and I am also a known high end (million plus) REO agent.
