This industry can require sacrificing free time, being uncomfortable, taking risks and at times facing failures. I love the broad networking opportunities with industry groups and enjoy using creativity to communicate.
What are some insights or at least one piece of advice you wish you would have known when you first started in the industry?
Enjoy the process, learn to venture outside your comfort zone, and meet as many people as you can.
What is top of mind for you in your business right now? (topic, industry trend, or idea)
Technology is on the top of my list. In the Mortgage Servicing Industry technology is being used in changing processes, procedures, and documents. Law firms need to have the agility, speed, and flexibility to work in an ever changing marketplace. With the technology comes the need for intentional customer service to keep the personal touch as communication becomes more automated.
How has being a member of a trade association resulted in business growth for you?
As a member of Legal League 100, specifically, as the Chair of the Webinar committee, I gain visibility by hosting many webinars each year. Clients and Legal League 100 members meet me for the first time and tell me they feel like they know me from seeing me on the webinars. Many contacts are made by inviting others to speak on the webinars and other Legal League events, that lead to building industry relationships which results in growing our firm business.
