Member Spotlight: Stephen Hladik

Stephen Hladik, Partner in Hladik, Onorato & Federman, LLP is a member of Legal League and current Chair of the Legal League Advisory Council. His firm has been a member of Legal League for over ten years.

Within Legal League Stephen has served on many committees and the Advisory Council, and held a variety of leadership roles, including his current position.

1. What drives your commitment to your craft and the industry?

I truly enjoy being involved in the industry and working with our partners. We have been able to put together some terrific live events and an outstanding webinar series. We have also been actively authoring White Papers on important industry issues. Above all that, the most rewarding aspect is the talented people with our member firms and servicing partners that we have had the opportunity to work with and get to know on a personal basis.

2. What are some insights or at least one piece of advice you wish you would have known when you first started in the industry?

Get involved early! It is never too early in your career to branch out into associations and trade organizations. The involvement not only helps you grow a network; it also provides you with valuable educational opportunities that benefit you in the long term.

3. What is top of mind for you in your business right now?

The top issues on my mind relate to the current economy and what the impact of rising interest rates and long-term inflation will have on consumers. For our business, we keep a mindful watch on regulatory trends and how that can impact our practice and our clients.

4. How has being a member of a trade association like Legal League resulted in business growth for you?

From our years of involvement in trade associations we have certainly benefitted and grown our business. Not only have we been able to onboard new clients, but we have gained many personal friendships within the industry.

5. What legacy industry impact would you most desire to be known for?

“Legacy” is a deep and complicated word, which can have many different meanings. To me, the legacy that I would like to be known for is contributing to the betterment of our industry and seeing our trade association advance and its members succeed.
